Born from a love of the sea.

I've loved the ocean for as long as I can remember. Born and raised in Vermont, we grew up going to Gloucester, Mass in the summer. It was a four hour drive south, including a stop at Deangelo’s where we all tumbled out of the car for sandwiches and fountain sodas (an unusual treat!). It was, without a doubt, my favorite week of the year.

Today, I feel so fortunate to call the Connecticut/Rhode Island coast home. I feel inspired daily by the salt water air on my runs, the breeze that moves in from the ocean, and the pastel evening skies.

Coasties was born on one of these cool evening walks with my dog. I wanted to bring my sweatshirt along without tying it in a bulky knot around my shoulders or waist. I wanted something that was adjustable, simple, and (yes) stylish.

And let's be honest—what gal doesn't love a good accessory?!

That little idea became Coasties.
